Hello.

The goal of this thread is to answer and clarify several doubts that arose around the Warmasters expansion announcement and give you a more complete overview of what to expect next monday, the 21st of February.

About the leveling up to level 60

One of the changes we applied for Warmasters was the facilitation of leveling. From now on, defeating enemy players from other realms will give you experience points. This way you may advance your character not only by killing monsters but by doing what you like the most: waging war.

To give everyone the same starting point, all level 50 characters will start at level 50. But, we´ll compensate those with a LOT of excess experience with some XP booster scrolls so you can progress more quickly.


About the level increase

As we have already announced, starting from the Warmasters release the new level cap will be level 60. But this does not mean that all armor sets, weapons and items that all level 50 characters have in their inventories will become obsolete.

Check your inventories in Amun, you will probably find objects beyond level 50, this is why we added the distinction between real level and requirement level. On the other hand, all armors (including the ones that you already have) will be improved in a similar way compared to the weapons.

About the new items, weapons and armors.

Besides the new character level cap, a new list of weapons, armors and items will be added. But the inclusion of these items wasn´t contemplated to shadow all current ones in Regnum. Warmasters implies an overall expansion of the game and thus, it´s necessary to include all kind of objects that improve the gameplay, also improving the capacity of the characters that reach level 60.


Conclusion

Warmasters won´t be a drastic change but a general improvement of several features of Regnum Online. No MMORPG can stay alive without growth and we can only move forward. With that line of thinking, we have released Invasions and now Warmasters. We truly believe that this update will make Regnum a better game. That´s why I invite you to see what happens and save the critique for after the 21st.

New invasions mechanics
Dear players
As you'll see on monday with the Warmasters update we've made some changes to the invasion system.

We wanted to tell you about this changes so you can check them out and debate during the weekend.

What do we want to achieve with this changes:
1) To gather a bigger amount of users on the same location to help realms organize themselves.
2) to avoid camping by increasing numbers of defenders (we remind you that killing enemies in saves means no XP, loss of RP and it doesn't count for the daily adventures)
3) We want invasions to happen more frequently. Also, we need to have many battles at the same time in different locations so we don't overload the server and client.
4) Avoid a single realm to be constantly harassed.

solutions that were implemented:

1) and 2): One and only central save

3): New invasion mechanics
• The gate will be vulnerable when the realm looses control of all its fortifications for 15 minutes (it doesn't matter if those where taken by a single opposing realm or both of them)
• If the defending realm retakes one fortification the vulnerability ends.
• if the gate was broken and the defending realm retakes one fortification the gates will re-appear.
• maximum invasion time will be of 2 hours.

4) New invulnerability rule: If a realm looses all its gems it will become invulnerable and its fortifications will not be able to be taken unless they take back or steal a gem or one of the opposing realms visits the dragon. (now the invulnerable realm can take a fully offensive stance!)

Please don't take this changes as final as we plan to continue making modifications to invasions until we get them right and we need to test changes with live server's population. Think of this as an event
